Khaliya Top Journey: Munsiyari
Khaliya Top Trek
The 12 km trek from Munsiyari village is perfect for beginners. You’ll walk through pretty forests, green fields and streams – like a fairy tale! The first half is easy, but it gets steeper near Balati Bend. But don’t worry, the final 6 km climb is so worth it! Keep an eye out for rare birds and animals too.
Once at the top, get ready to be blown away! The snowy Himalayan peaks look like a massive painting. Panchachuli, Nanda Devi, Hardeol, Nandakot, Rajrambha – all standing majestically. If timed right, you could even see a magical sunrise or sunset with the mountains glowing orange and red.
Still energetic? If you have some extra energy, you can walk for one more kilometer to a place called Zero Point. From there, you’ll be able to see a 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains, with their peaks peeking through the clouds. It’s a sight that will make you want to come back again and again!
